Rural Support Training: Farm Safety Development Program 2 – Laidley

This program covers a range of areas from using equipment such as chainsaws, to safely using chemicals and adopting practices around machinery movement on and off properties to reduce the risk of spreading weeds, pests and diseases and meet the Biosecurity Act requirements.

These accredited units of competency will provide you with the skills and knowledge to:

• ensure the safe process of inspecting and cleaning machinery
• safely apply, store and handle chemicals
• perform chainsaw operations and maintenance, including feeling small trees in a safe and effective manner
