This one-year higher education Diploma of Equine Management consists of eight units with two electives in the Horse Industry Elective Unit focussing on racing and thoroughbred breeding and the other on equestrian and sport horse training.
During the eight-week Industry Training, students will be able to gain relevant work experience on prominent horse establishments throughout Australia and New Zealand.
There is a three-week Practical Thoroughbred Stud Placement, a component of Equine Science 2 Unit working at a stud to apply classroom theory with an opportunity to complete an overseas placement.
