NSW: Drought Relief Water Allocation Program

At its Ordinary Meeting on Thursday, 20 September 2018, Edward River Council resolved to implement a Drought Relief Water Allocation Program, enabling eligible drought-affected ratepayers in the Edward River local government area to access up to 30,000 litres of rural water per application, free of charge, for stock and domestic use.

To apply for Council’s Drought Relief Water Application Program, download and complete the Drought Relief Water Allocation Form(PDF, 338KB) .

Once you complete and return your form, you will receive an allocation from Council’s Customer Service team, after which you can contact one of the following water carters and organise water delivery:
•  Deni Freighters: (03) 5882 2111
•  Druitt Earthworks: (03) 5881 7280
•  Rourke Grains: 0427 948 112

Please note that payment of carting fee is the responsibility of the applicant and is to be made payable to the water carter.

For private water carting; applicants are able to receive a fob key allowing them to access to a filling station.

The completed Application Form must be returned to Council’s Customer Service Centre at 180 Cressy Street, Deniliquin.
