Type: Webpage, Manual
Knowledge level: Introductory

Farm Table says:

A simple, practical guide to cattle handling and although we may not think we need it, anything to help avoid those incidents we hear about is worth a look.

A Practical Guide

AgriFutures Australia has delved into an important issue for the agricultural industry – safety.

This webpage hosts a practical guide to cattle handling in a well written, polished document available for PDF download.

The manual is one of several resources in conjunction with the Primary Industries Health & Safety Partnership (PIHSP) and seeks to assist those working in beef cattle production with effective WHS systems. This manual and related documents will provide new resources to enable cattle producers to improve their WHS systems.

Essentially the resource materials will provide a best practice guide to managing WHS requirements specific to the beef sector. The long term objective is to reduce the incidence and severity of injury in the sector and also to improve productivity through adherence to good WHS practice.
