Farm Table says:
Various types of confined spaces exist on farms; such as silos, milk vats, tanks and wells. By law, the person conducting the business in any workplace with an area defined as a ‘confined space’ has some serious safety management obligations.
Dairy Australia (The Dairy People) have put together a series of short snapshot films to help you organise safety requirements for the confined spaces on your farm;
- A risk assessment to identify your confined spaces
- Set up entry permit system
- Test the atmosphere in a confined space
- Set up rescue systems
