Farm Table says:

When growing faba beans it is important to be able to identify the diseases which may occur as they can easily be confused with each other.

This guide is provided by GRDC to help growers and agronomists identify common faba bean diseases in the field.

It will assist with the correct identification of each disease, which is important because different fungicides are used to manage different fungal diseases.

The key sections include information on the symptoms, lifecycle and management of:

  •  ascochyta blight
  • cercospora leaf spot
  • chocolate spot
  • alternaria leaf spot
  • rust

In conclusion, the guide also provides links to other sources for further information and management guidlines
