DESCRIPTION:Livestock Advisor Essentials (LAE) is a professional development program designed for early career professionals involved in the livestock industry or advisors wishing to build their skills and expand their industry knowledge and networks.  \nThis is an unbeatable opportunity to:  \n\n  learn the fundamentals of livestock businesses \n  develop knowledge\, skills and confidence \n  connect with other livestock advisors. \n\nThe program will include three five face-to-face workshops covering the livestock industry building-blocks of feedbase\, business\, reproduction and genetics\, value chain and people and extension\, delivered over three sessions.  \nBy attending the ‘Feedbase decision making workshop’\, participants will:  \n\nincrease knowledge of best practice management principles for southern intensive and variable climate grazing systems\, containment feeding systems and nutrition for livestock \n\n\nbuild confidence in supporting producer clients to make decisions in relation to grazing management and containment feeding \n\n\ndevelop a greater understanding of southern intensive grazing management\, grazing systems in variable climate regions\, and developing containment systems\, including animal feed requirements\, feed budgeting\, matching feed demand to supply\, and more.
