Offer to assist with Regional Connectivity Program Grants
The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications have recently established the Regional Connectivity Program, which seeks to improve connectivity for regional and rural Australians. As a licensed Telecommunications Carrier, Connected Farms is qualified to lead the Grant application process, and is offering to assist Farm Table Members with the development of a connectivity solution for their farm or business and the preparation and submission of grant applications.
Grants are available to improve connectivity and provide mobile or broadband services to a regional, rural or remote communities such as local businesses, tourist locations and schools among other places. Proposals must demonstrate the clear need for improved telecommunications / connectivity and community support for any proposed economic and/or social benefits. All grants are to be co-funded by the recipient and the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications will have the final say on approval of the grants, and as with all grant applications, there is no guarantee of success.
Applications close on 20th October for the Federal Government’s Regional Connectivity Program Grants. It will take two to three weeks to develop a tailored connectivity solution for your property and prepare the grant application, so don’t leave it too late.
