DESCRIPTION:Participate in hands-on demonstrations of weed identification\, mapping and targeted spraying technologies relevant to local farming systems. \n\n\n\n\nJoin the GRDC for a practical\, hands-on demonstration of weed identification\, mapping and targeted spraying technologies relevant to local farming systems. The day has been developed in response to grower feedback calling for practical capability building\, easier integration of AgTech with existing machinery\, and clearer understanding of how data can be turned into useful on-farm decisions. \nWhat you will see\n\nDrone demonstration: see a live drone demonstration focused on identifying and mapping weeds in-crop (marshmallow in lentils).\nWeed mapping: follow the process of converting drone imagery into a weed map that identifies weed locations and priority patches.\nData collection and interpretation: data collection\, processing and interpreted\, plus map development.\nFrom map to sprayer: preparing and uploading weed maps or prescription files into a compatible sprayer system\, including file formats\, setup and machinery integration.\nUsing the data for spot spraying: see how mapped weed data can be used to guide targeted or spot spraying.
