The use of digital technologies in agriculture is not new. Farmers have been using computers and other digital tools for decades to manage their operations. However, the advent of new technologies, such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning, is transforming the way we think about Ag Tech. Digital Agriculture Industry Report
Digital agriculture, also known as agtech, is the use of digital technologies to increase agricultural productivity. Agtech includes a wide range of applications and solutions, from precision farming and remote sensing to climate-change adaptation and farm management software.
Digital agriculture is an emerging field with great potential to increase global food production. With the world population projected to reach 9.7 billion by 2050, there is a need to increase food production by 70% to meet the demand (1). Digital agriculture has the potential to help meet this demand by increasing productivity through better allocation of inputs, reducing wastage, and improving decision-making.
