FindGoodFood
"Let food be your medicine, and medicine be your food" - Hippocrates, the Fonder of Modern Western Medicines, 500BC.
FindGoodFood is only for those farmers wanting to cut costs and get premium prices for superior produce.
It suits smaller ‘regenerative’ farmers, horticulturists producers (Providores) who need a vehicle to put their ‘quality’ produce and produce in front of the huge demand from consumers for chem-free, nutrient-dense, GM-free, etc produce and products.
Recent independent surveys (of Australian women between 18-65 years) indicated how the interest in food and health is growing (mainly through social media):
- 90% would like chem-free food (6 different categories of chem-free farming methods offered)
- 80% want nutrient-dense,
- 70% want GM-free,
As we offer a new, novel, unique and very useful ways of finding good food, many of our methodologies are patented But not for profit, but for the people’s health, for smaller farmers, growers and producers survival, turning them into price makers, and not price takers, by offering higher value for money, and for taste, with ‘fresher, picked-at-the-right-time and grown-in-good-clean-soil’ produce. And to protect the methodology from being bought and buried by BigFood, as has been done in Australia in the past.
FindGoodFood is also designed as a vehicle to support Dr. Charlie Massy’s vision: “What we need is an organically growing, self-organizing, self-sustaining grass-roots movement if we wish to save this nation from ‘bad’ food” given the high correlation between the exponentially growing National Health Bill, and the amount and number of chemicals being put into the ground, and into food. See our website for more info…
Anyone, any group, any Shire can use FindGoodFood as an IT communication platform to grow local communities and economies, around good food and health.
Farmers. growers and producers can enter and maintain their ‘permanent’ or ‘master’ data about themselves. This includes their outlets, Farmer’s markets, etc., even what they produce. And will include ‘pretty pictures, wonderful words” typical of foodie websites, apps in the near future.
Providores can enter their produce(t), rate it, price it, date it, etc even while ‘disconnected’ from mobile service. Once in range, and new entries, changes, deletions, are sent off, SMS ‘alerts’ can them be sent to those consumers who have ticked the right boxes, including within their own selected radius ranges (both on mobile and Web, using a smart way to counter the auto-location capabilities of the mobile app). This gives the consumer ‘first dibs’, especially for their favourite fruits and veggies, and/or from their favourite farmer.
- Food and Beverage supply and value chain optimization for past 30 years. Will be able to provide ’24 hour fresh’ in local food hubs when FindGoodFood matures.
- Been practicing chem-free, permaculture principles (now called “Regenerative’) for many years, last 20 in Australia.
- Proved beyond doubt, that farmers, especially smaller farmers, can get premium prices for superior produce, especially if objectively rated as ‘poor’, ‘average’, ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ using globally accepted rating scales evolving over past 50 years. Nutrient Density Indices (NDI or BRIX) has been the tried and tested, objective quality measure globally for past 200 years.
- Produce quality ratings : For the past 10 years, we have been preparing ratings for the 500+ varieties of produce available in Australia. For example, one cannot use readings for a ‘generic’ apple to compare Pink Lady’s readings with Granny Smith’s quality ratings.
- Developing, marketing and selling of new technologies in food and beverage supply chains for past 50 years, last 13 in fresh produce. Grew up in the family supermarket buying and selling fresh produce in the ’60’s and 70’s.
