On-Farm Energy and Electrification Demonstration Program (Victoria)

Agriculture Victoria’s $5 million On-Farm Energy and Electrification Demonstration Program (OFEED) funds projects that test energy technologies on working Victorian farms and share the results with the wider industry. Grants of $200,000 to $750,000 are available to organisations that can show how proven but under-used, or new-to-market, technologies cut energy and fuel use, lower emissions or electrify farm equipment, and what they cost and return. Projects must be practical for other farms and regions to adopt. They must also share what they learn, including costs, results and lessons, with farmers and industry.

Applicants include industry associations, farming systems and Landcare groups, RDCs, Catchment Management Authorities, First Nations and Traditional Owner organisations, and companies with market-ready solutions. Individual farm businesses can’t apply on their own, but they can take part through a partnership with an eligible organisation.
