Rural Aid’s Farm Army site provides a ‘matching’ service for farmers seeking assistance and those able to lend a hand.
In many rural areas, it’s almost impossible to find people with trades that will drive the distances to do work. At the same time there are tens of thousands of grey nomads, holiday makers, tradies on holiday, even backpackers who have skills that are willing to help but just don’t know where their help could be best put to use.
Today the Farm Army is over 15,000 people strong with volunteers registered from all over the world to help out of rural communities with a target of 100,000 registered volunteers by 2022.
Farmers can submit a job via this form.
