Data is based on AGCUMEN 2015-2025 information)

When it comes to the success of startups, the ecosystems in which they operate (including the number of startups themselves, universities, investors, manufacturers, and many other relevant players like e.g. incubators and accelerators) play a crucial role.

We looked at our April 2015 to September 2025 data in order to identify the number of players in the respective countries worldwide, and the developments in which they were embedded.

As you can see the UnitedStates clearly dominates the startup ecosystem space when it comes to agriculture and related machinery representing 21.64% of all organizations identified globally active there. The U.S. is followed by Germany, France, Brazil, Netherlands, UK, and Australia based on our Ecosystem Intelligence data (see also the chart below for the top 25 which make almost 88% of the global ecosystem when it comes to the number of active organizations).

Some of the most active corporates in that space during 2015-2025 were:

  • John Deere
  • CNH
  • Kubota Corporation
  • Bayer
  • BASF
  • Microsoft
  • Bühler Group
  • AGCO Corporation
  • Cargill
