The Shifting Landscape of Agricultural Robotics: Who’s Leading in 2025?

Since 2015 we have been monitoring well over 3200 organizations globally involved in robotics, and particularly with ties to agriculture and related machinery.

Hereby we look at their activities daily, in each local market, and realized this year that the organizations were actually changing when it comes to the frequency of activities they were involved in (new product launches, alliances, market entries, product upgrades, campaigns, and all kinds of corporate activities etc.).

The main 15 organizations based on the frequency of activities we caught so far in 2025 are generally different than the ones in 2025 (full year). In fact 11 out of the main 15 were ranked lower in 2025 moving up the ladder considerably (see also table).

It will be interesting to see what the landscape will look like at the end of the year and whether we will see more of the well known players of the past. The reasons for the change are diverse, and next time we will address those dynamics in detail.

Who’s most active in 2025?

So far this year, the Top 15 most active organisations in agricultural robotics include a blend of established giants and ambitious innovators:

  • Daedong
  • John Deere
  • Ecorobotix
  • Carbon Robotics
  • Boston Dynamics
  • FarmDroid
  • Kubota Corporation
  • Bonsai Robotics
  • Solinftec
  • Farm-ng
  • AgXeed
  • Saga Robotics // Thorvald
  • CNH
  • Yanmar

His team has been providing Ecosystem Intelligence to some of the most well known organizations in the world since 2015 complemented by strategic business advisory services. By equipping corporate decision-makers, policy makers, institutional investors and many other clients with actionable intelligence, Murat and his team at SONEAN enable the early identification of emerging opportunities, and risks, across global markets and provide unique insights into the entire value chain of industries such as agriculture, sustainability (renewable energy and engine forms, Scope 1-3 emissions related strategies), construction machinery, lifting technologies, warehouse automation and intralogistics as well as many other sectors such as beauty/luxury. Taking advantage of this unique information, facilitates the development of robust, technology-enabled, strategic and tactical planning, optimising long-term positioning for future growth. Since 2015 his team's platform AGCUMEN (dedicated to agricultural machinery/technology and related topics), has been monitoring the global agricultural ecosystem daily, across 190+ countries, using network science and AI-technology, that covers a network of over 70,000 core organisations, with over 150 million unique events analysed as part of his knowledge graph approach.
