Precision Agricultural Technology globally
Precision Technology plays a crucial role in reducing inputs in agriculture or ideally increasing yields. Whether it is technology being used in tractors harvesters, robotic platforms, sprayers, and even implements, the goal is to make agriculture more efficient and address many of the challenges, such as labour shortages.
Based on our daily monitoring of over 70,000 core agriculture related organizations in over 190+ countries around the world we have looked at our long term data to identify the countries globally (since April 2015) which have enjoyed the largest ecosystems when it comes to precision technology (including manufacturers, suppliers, intermediaries, universities and many others along the value chain).
Based on AGCUMEN Ecosystem Intelligence data the Top 10 countries, in terms of precision technology related ecosystem organizations for the past 10 years, were the United States, closely followed by Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Australia, Denmark, Italy, Brazil, and Switzerland.
When you look at the main 15 players in 2025 alone, it is interesting to see how AGCO Corporation made a giant leap with its PTx Trimble, Fendt, and Massey Ferguson brands, and we will see what this will look like going forward. Other brands among the top 15 are John Deere, CNH (predominantly with New Holland, Case IH, and Raven), Kubota Corporation (mainly with Kverneland Group), companies of Chinese origin such as DJI, FJDynamics, and XAG as well as players such as Sabanto, Topcon Agriculture, and HORSCH
