FDF Communities – Capacity Building
Building on from the FRRR Expertise Pool developed through the Future Drought Fund’s Helping Regional Communities Prepare for Drought Initiative, this element of the Future Drought Fund’s Communities Program aims to strengthen the capacity of regional community based not-for-profit organisations (NFPs) that are essential to building social resilience in rural and regional Australia.
Locally based NFPs in agriculture-dependent communities across Australia will be eligible to participate and will provide opportunities for these organisations to upskill or access support from specialist expertise for organisational capacity building to invest in their:
- People
- Infrastructure
- Internal systems and structures
- Strategy development
- Financial sustainability
- Sector effectiveness
This may may be through workshops, webinars, mentoring, skills audits, tools, templates, case studies or other online resources.
