Regenerative farming: A ‘natural way’ to help counteract drought

This ABC Australian Story documentary follows Charles Massy, a fifth-generation sheep farmer in New South Wales, as he transforms his degraded 2,000-hectare property after drought nearly bankrupted him.

Shifting from chemical-intensive conventional farming to regenerative agriculture, he works with natural cycles—grazing livestock rotationally, boosting soil biology and restoring biodiversity—to heal the land.

The film visits other pioneering farmers using similar holistic methods, inspired by Massy’s book Call of the Reed Warbler.
